I didn't happen to swing your way when I was in the Chicago area, no particular reason, its just that there's so much ghetto south of thirty-fifth street, too much to explore in just a day or two.

There is a lot more to Gary, Indiana (the "Steel City") than decaying buildings. It has a rich industrial, political and sociological history which may be explored in word and pictures at Dave's Den
I wasn't trying to slam the place Dave, far from it. I like to at least imagine myself as a friend of the despised and neglected parts of the US. But there's no denying that Gary has very serious problems.
